Dozens of Charlotte workers to lose jobs as Texas medical device maker scales back

KCI USA, a subsidiary of the Texas-based medical device company Acelity, is laying off 65 workers this summer at its service center near UNC Charlotte.

In a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice filed with the state, KCI said that following an analysis of its business situation that it “must substantially reduce the workforce” at its facility at 10101 Claude Freeman Dr. Ste. 210.

Affected positions range from data support to order fulfillment representatives, according to the WARN
